![]() ![]() You can adjust the brightness and the color temperature using the touchscreen, recreating five different scenarios, including sunset, bright overhead office lighting, and a dim restaurant setting. The magnification is done digitally through the camera, which some eyeglass wearers might find tricky. The HiMirror Slide weighs about two pounds. The tablet is eight inches long, while the mirror is 11 inches. It can be flipped to landscape mode, which some users love for doing makeup tutorials. As the name suggests, the mirror slides open to reveal a tablet screen with a camera. These days there are smart doorbells, smartwatches, and even smart refrigerators, so a smart makeup mirror is a logical option. ![]() While this mirror is certainly an investment, it's a great compact option that's valued for its quality and universality. Riki Loves Riki claims their LED lights have a high color rendering index (CRI), which refers to the light source's ability to reveal color accurately-this is the type of light you'd want in a museum or photography studio, and it's also a great feature to include in a makeup light. Also included is a round magnetic mirror with 5 times magnification, which works well for close-up needs like eyeliner and eyeshadow application. This mirror's clip-on phone mount can be used for selfies, following step-by-step makeup tutorials, or good lighting on Zoom. We love that this is a great lighted mirror that's small enough for travel, but the carrying case is sold separately, which is less than ideal. The "Skinny" is also sleek-just three-eighths of an inch thick and weighs only 1.5 pounds. This mirror measures 13 x 9.5 inches (about the size of an iPad) and comes with a stand you can prop up on a table or vanity. Our favorite makeup mirror is the RIKI LOVES RIKI Skinny LED Travel Mirror because it's easily packable and features a phone mount for expertly lighted selfies. We have long standing relationships with our suppliers some who we have been dealing with for over 20 years, this relationship is helped build our brand into something special. We are passionate about fair trade and always visit our suppliers every few months, we visit the factories and sources of where the products are being produced, our suppliers are all small scale producers and we never deal with large factories so our products are not from huge runs, each product is from a small batch and colours and embroiderys do differ from the original sometimes. Most of our wooden items are made from coconut or Abesia wood which is a quick growing soft wood, the trees reach maturity within a couple of years and grow to around 70ft, The coconut we use is a by product from the food industry and this again helps with stopping excess waste materials. Where possible we use sustainable natural products and our fleece is made from recycled plastic bottles. Our Clothing is often made up from upcycled scrap fabrics from our garment production, so reuse the off cuts and stop the excess material going to landfil, all of our patchwork products are made this way. Please be aware of this when purchasing from us as our items do vary from garment to garment, depending on the dyes and fabrics available and sometimes down to the mood of the person creating our beautiful pieces of art. They are made by small scale producers, sometimes at home and details are often hand sewn or hand printed. ![]() The products that we sell at Gringo are not mass produced factory made goods. ![]()
